The southern suburbs of Dallas each began as small farming communities, but have each grown to small independent towns.

Each has its own unique personality, with modern amenities but each holding on to their "small town feeling." They range in size from approximately 15,000 to about 40,000, and are located only about twelve miles from downtown Dallas and twenty-five miles from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. 

Commuting in any direction is quite easy. The price range of homes is from $60,000 to $1,000,000, with many homes built on rolling hills or along meandering creeks. 

There are heavily wooded areas overlooking the beautiful Joe Pool Lake. The area has been named "The Best Kept Secret in Dallas County" and "The Hill Country of Dallas County" and has been named among the safest areas in the United States. It also offers excellent and exemplary schools with rankings well above the state levels.
